My first project at Digit was to help build the boardroom table. It previously existed as a pretty run-of-the-mill transparent glass boardroom table. Now it is a platform to develop touch-based flash games. It has two sets of controls for head to head gaming. Actually you don’t need to touch the table at all as your hand/finger is even detected an inch or two away from the glass itself.
The table measures capacitance in the static field that you influence with your body. It allows for simple touch controls to be installed even through non-conductive opaque materials, such as the 10mm glass that forms the table surface.
